Enjoy the trip of desert and diversifolious poplars With DEUTER （Part1）

今年国庆黄金周期间，我们一行人八人，带上照相器材和多特的户外系列产品，到了我国内蒙古的巴丹吉林大沙漠和额济纳旗摄影采风。巴丹吉林沙漠浩瀚神气，是我国第二大沙漠，世界第四大沙漠；额济纳旗的胡杨和黑城遗址，代表着自然和古代文化结合的标志。多特是源于德国著名的户外产品，历史悠久。这次我们选有多特的产品有背囊、睡袋、水袋、雪套等专业产品。由于多特始创于1898年，历史悠久的原因，我们这次行程的第一站就选择了宁夏的银川，从了解中国古代的历史文化开始，与多特一起走沙漠、胡杨之旅。

During the golden week of this year’s national holiday, we, a party of eight members, made a trip to Badain Jaran Desert and Ejin Banner in Inner Mongolia to take photographs. We took along with some photographic equipments as well as DEUTER outdoor series products. The immense Badain Jaran Desert is the 2nd largest desert in China and the 4th largest worldwide. The diversifolious poplars and the ancient Black City Site in Ejin Banner represent the perfect combination of nature and ancient Chinese culture. We chose to take DEUTER’s hiking bags, sleeping bags, Snow Sport bags and water bags with us. DEUTER has been in the backpack business since 1898 - longer than any other backpack brand in the world. For such a reason, we select the first stay of our trip in Yinchuan city，Ningxia province, where we can learn ancient culture of China and enjoy the trip of desert and diversifolious poplars with DEUTER.

 九月二十九日中午，我们的航班从深圳抵达银川河东机场。迎接我们的司机一下就认出了多特的标志。互相寒暄之后，司机带我们一行马不停蹄驱车去参观贺兰山。

  

 Our flight departed from Shenzhen city and arrived in Yinchuan Hedong Airport at the noon of 29th September. Our driver recognized the DEUTER logo immediately. After a warm greeting, he drove us to visit Helan Mountains without a stop.

  

 

贺兰山位于宁夏回族自治区与内蒙古自治区的交界处，莽莽苍苍，气势雄伟。由于时间紧迫的关系，我们只参观了著名的岩画和西夏王陵。贺兰山岩画位于贺兰口处，为精华部分。岩画的形成上自新石器时代，下至西夏时期，记录了人类放牧、狩猎、祭祀、战争、娱舞等场景以及羊、牛、马、驼、虎、豹等多种动物图案。其中“太阳神”造像最负盛名。

  

 

 

     Helan Mountains located at the junction of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Across the endless wilderness, the Helan Mountains is very grand. Due to the shortage of time, we only visited the famous petrograms and Western Xia Imperial Tombs. Helan petrograms, which are the best feature of Helan Mountains, are located at the mountains’ pass. The petrograms were formed from the New Stone Age to the Western Xia period, recorded many activities of ancient human beings, such as grazing, hunting, feting, dancing and even wars. Along with the abundant records of ancient people’s daily lives, there are plenty animal figures, including the figures of sheep, cows, horses, humpbacks, tigers and panthers. The figure of the Sun god is the most famous one among them.

 

 

 

    西夏王陵是中国现存规模最大、地面遗址保存最完整的帝王陵园之一，王陵建于约50平方公里的荒漠上，包括9座皇帝陵园和250多座陪葬墓。被世人誉为“神秘的奇迹”、“东方金字塔”。西夏是十一世纪初以党羌族为主体建立的王朝。从1038年李元昊称帝建国，于1227年被蒙古所灭，在历史上存在了190年，经历10代皇帝。

 

 

 

 

      The Western Xia Imperial Tombs is the existing largest and best-reserved imperial tombs in China. The Western Xia Imperial Tombs were built on a land around 50 kilometers, including nine imperial tombs and more than 250 attendant tombs. Thus, it’s recognized as the “mysterious miracle” and “oriental pyramid”. The Western Xia was a dynasty established by the Dang Qiang ethnic group in the early of the 11th century. It started from the time when Li Yuanhao proclaimed oneself as the emperor in A.D. 1038 and ended in A.D. 1227 after Mongolia’s invasion. It lasted for 190 years with 10 generations of emperors in the history.

 

 

 

 

    次日，我们收拾行囊，驱车前往内蒙古阿拉善左旗。下午，我们到达了左旗阿拉善第一大藏传佛教寺庙南寺。于1716年至1746年，六世达赖喇嘛仓央嘉措(tshangs-dbyangs-rgya-mtsho)在贺兰山弘法，1756年仓央嘉措的心传弟子阿旺多尔济遵师傅遗愿修建了南寺，寺中供奉着六世达赖的灵塔。南寺在秋日的阳光照耀下，显得格外雄伟壮观。我们对南寺的拍摄，每人都显得很肃穆，以表示对佛教的尊敬。

 

 

 

 

     The next day, after packing, we drove to the Alxa Left Banner, Inner Mongolia. We arrived at Nan Temple, the largest temple of Tibetan Buddhism in Alxa Left Banner, in the afternoon. The Sixth Dalai Lama Tshangs-dbyangs-rgya-mtsho made his Dharma propagation from A.D. 1716 to 1746 here in Helan Mountains. In 1756, Tshangs-dbyangs-rgya-mtsho’s disciples followed his last wish to build the Nan Temple. Tshangs-dbyangs-rgya-mtsho’s stupa has been kept in this temple. Nan Temple is extremely spectacular under autumn’s sunshine. We all felt solemn and serene when taking photos of it.

 

 

 

 

    第三天，我们踏上了从阿拉善左旗到阿拉善右旗的旅程，沿途不断翻越沟壑，穿过荒无人烟的戈壁，那种感受，只有你亲历其境才能体会。我们从城市石头森林，到了蒙古草原，目睹一望无际的荒漠戈壁，环境的落差一直撞击着我的心。在高楼林立的城市生活带来的压抑，来到蒙古高原上都被抛到车得后面而消失……经过约500多公里的旅程，下午三时许抵达右旗。我们进行休整，补给一些必需品，准备明天进入惊险、神奇的巴丹吉林大沙漠。

 

 

 

     We drove from Alxa Left Banner to Alxa Right Banner in the 3rd day of our trip. The feeling of passing through so many ravines and crossing the desolate and uninhabited Gobi desert can only be experienced when you get there personally. The huge environmental discrepancy from the high-rise blocks in the metropolis to the boundless Gobi desert had shocked me strongly. All depressions seemed to be gone away in this Mongolian Plateau. After more than 500 kilometers’ driving, we arrived at the Alxa Right Banner at 3’clock in the afternoon. We then had a rest and prepared for entering the adventurous and miraculous Badain Jaran Desert in the next day.
